Europa League - Shamrock Rovers – Juventus

This night Juventus will debut in the earlier round of Europa League. On the paper the difference between the two teams is very high. Italian team is the favourite for the qualification but the physical condition is in favour of Irish.

Shamrock Rovers can be considered the best Irish team with them long series of trophies and actually they are leading their domestic league with 41 points and they can praise to have the best defensive record (only 15 goals conceded in 22 matches). For them the first round the European adventure started two weeks ago when they met and defeat Bnei Yehuda.

Juventus, in the other hand, is in the fully preparation period, they played three international friendly matches (5-0 against Al Nassr; 0-0 against Amburgo and 2-1 against Lyon) and they are still under construction.
For Juventus, in fact, a new coach is arrived with his new tactical philosophy; new players have been bought to complete the fundamental line up of the last year and the last but not the least the absence of Buffon in the goal is another unknown.

The tonight defensive line will be completely changed respect the last year; only Chiellini and De Ceglie are on the field together the newcomers Storari, Motta and Bonucci.

In the middle of the field Del Neri has some problem; in fact Martinez (another newcomer) is not ready to play after the leg injury suffered in the last days and where Poulsen and Marchisio joined the group later for a holiday supplement. For this reason the unique old player sure to play is Sissoko near the two newcomers Lanzaframe and Pepe.

In the attack line there will be Diego to support Amauri while Del Piero, as in the last championship will start from the bench.

The following should be the line up

Shamrock Rovers (4-4-2):
Mannus,
Stevens, Sives, Price, Murray,
Bayly, Turner, Rice, Chambers,
Twigg, Stewart.

Juventus (4-4-2):
Storari,
Motta, Bonucci, Chiellini, De Ceglie,
Pepe, Marchisio, Sissoko, Lanzafame,
Amauri, Diego.

As I said in the beginning Juventus should be the favourite here but the phisical condition is for Shamrock Rovers so an odds of 1.33 for Juventus is very low (considering also the number of newcomers in the Juventus’ team) so I think an home win with a +1.5 asian handicap can be considered a good choice for tonight match.
Add to this choice I think that Juventus win the match but at the same time I consider possible that Shamrock will score a goal due the new configuration of Juventus’ defence.

Recap:
Shamrock Rovers – Juventus 1 (1.75:0)ah @ 1.76 5/10
Shamrock Rovers – Juventus Over 2,5 @ 1.75 4/10
