Bologna started the championship with a fantastic win against Milan in the San Siro Stadium and after that they had two weeks to celebrate this exploit. Now they must come back on the earth otherwise they will have a huge bad sursprise, in fact in the second leg they will face Atalanta, good and hostic group that need reply about the their real ambitions. Atalanta last season finished in good place in the table but they would have done better if they win more often on the road, 10 defeats on the road closed to them the Europeans doors.
Bologna have the safety as target this year and they don’t have to forget that. The next round for Bologna will be very hard, in fact Atalanta will go to dall’Ara for keeping at least a point and Bologna could find a lot of difficulty in the match. Arrigoni have in mind some changes in the initial line up also because he can’t face Atalanta with the same defensive team lined up against Milan. It is probable that his 4-4-2 will have offensive cheracteristics with Di Vaio and Marazzina in the offensive sector and two lateral more able in the offensive than in defensive phase.
Atalanta will go to Bologna with the target to keep all points after the encouraging start against Siena, they didn’t risk anything at home last week and only a little bit of unlucky avoided to Siena a most heavy defeat.
In spite that Atalanta didn-t play at good level, I remember some last year results for Atalanta at home and the comparison with the first leg in this season highlight a little bit worsening.
It’s true that Del Neri has still problem with the absence, Bellini, Bonaventura, Capelli, Cisse, Defendi and Vieri are doubtful for the next match. Bologna made great impression in the beginning match against Milan but they are newcomer for this serie A while Atlanta is a solid reality for the championship.
For me at the end this match will finish with a draw, but I can’t exclude an away from home win so my decision is for an 2 with AH.
